Foundation for the National Institutes of Health

Through the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, Inc., a number of donors from the private sector may also provide support. Established by the U.S. Congress the Foundation for NIH supports the mission of the National Institutes of Health by identifying and developing opportunities for innovative public-private partnerships involving industry, academia, and the philanthropic community. An independent nonprofit organization, the Foundation for NIH raises private-sector funds for a broad portfolio of programs that complement and enhance NIH priorities and activities.
